Hours: Up to 24 hours per week
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Global Strategic Initiatives, the Global Project Coordinator assists with the operations of multiple global projects delivered by Fanshawe Global in markets such as Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub Saharan Africa and East Asia.
Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Work in hand with specific project coordinators to design content delivery (program planning) that aligns with industry needs, government regulations and project’s outcomes. Develop course outlines and training materials for project’s delivery, ensuring it meets industry standards and incorporates relevant theoretical and practical components. Monitors and operates timely submission of all necessary requirements for global projects. Compiles and delivers reports required for global projects (as needed). Takes part in inception missions to conduct a needs analysis and validate clients’ needs and expectations. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to operate projects Handles logistical aspects derived from activities related to projects (e.g. calls, follow-up on responses, global partner visits, preparation of presentations, etc.). Steers project coordination with all parties, including handling logistics, putting together work plans and delivering training (if needed). Ensures Fanshawe Global projects are communicated regularly through internal communication channels. Tracks aspects of global projects (existing and potential) (e.g. translation of materials, signatures, filing, etc.).
Qualifications
- A minimum of a four-year undergraduate degree in education, curriculum specialist experience is mandatory.
- Qualification in other related fields may be a plus, for example: social science, business administration, public administration, project management, international relations or other.
- A post-graduate certification would be preferred (e.g. PMP, ID, IAS)
- A minimum of two years of previous experience in working on international education projects is mandatory as well as project coordination and program development (related to the education sector)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Exceptional presentation and oral communication skills
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Ability to work both in a team and independently in a multicultural environment
- Effective interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Be able to work under competing deadlines.
- Fluent (reading, writing and speaking) in Spanish, French is required (depending on need of implementation partner)
- Ability to travel internationally (as needed)
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Hold a Canadian passport with at minimum six months validity
