Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Period-end Accounting Management; Assist with reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and amortization processes.
  • Complex Accounting Reconciliation; Assist with reconciling intricate accounting concepts, such as revenue recognition, WIP & cost of goods sold.
  • Financial Statement Preparation; Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements for multiple entities, and associated schedules.
  • Reporting on Budget-to-Actual Performance; Prepare monthly financial performance statements by business for distribution to various levels of leadership within the business.
  • Annual Budgeting Contribution; Actively participate in the annual budgeting process.
  • External Financial Reporting Schedules; Assist in preparing schedules for year-end external financial statement reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management; Assist with oversight and reporting on cash flow, processing and monitoring of disbursements and collection of receivables.
  • Day-to-day recording of transactions; Ensure transactions are accurately recorded, including A/R, A/P, and expenses.
  • Invoicing system and payments oversight.
  • Preparation of monthly sales tax filings, including coordination of payments for Sales Tax & Corporate Tax.

 

Knowledge, Education & Experience Required

 

  • Successful completion of a university degree or college diploma in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems (Quickbooks Online or similar) with strong Excel skills.
  • Professional certifications (CPA) or enrollment in a program are a plus.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
