Job Details

The National Manager, Major Accounts - Dealer Sales will contribute to our company’s revenue strategy and develop and execute a strategic plan for strengthening our relationships with our largest dealer customers. They have direct accountability for annual revenue quota retirement. They are responsible for broadening our product penetration and revenue base with our largest existing dealer customers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a dynamic working environment, interacting comfortably with dealer group senior management. Our ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader and team player, with hands-on experience in the disciplined use of sales processes/methodologies, the sales life cycle, technical selling tools, and sales effectiveness.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Exceed sales growth targets through the execution of established best practices and accountability for results.
  • Develop and execute short and long-term sales strategies that align with the corporate strategic vision and goals of the company.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key Dealer Group executives.
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, sales process, and pricing strategies as it relates to large dealer groups.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and lead by example with the broader sales team.
  • Initiate and maintain cross-functional relationships to collaborate at all levels to discover and resolve key business issues and opportunities.
  • Actively seek external information to understand customers’ and market segment needs.
  • Be fluent in industry trends, market dynamics, and standards/regulatory developments.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and maintain competitive and industry analysis.
  • Continuously learn and actively seek ongoing professional /industry knowledge development by attending workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in the community.


Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience in sales
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a high-performing team
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Related industry experience in the automotive field
  • Proficient at using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
