We are currently looking to add a Linux Systems Administrator to our IT Infrastructure & Security team. This is an in-office role, and will be located in London, Ontario.

As the Linux Systems Administrator, you will be responsible to ensure our systems and applications function efficiently and seamlessly. With a strong focus on improving and automating you will maintain the Bank’s IT infrastructure working closely with key stakeholders on the IT team.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems
• Monitor system/network performance and ensure high availability and reliability
• Implement security best practices and perform regular system updates and patches
• Automate IT operations and processes
• Manage user permissions and access controls
• Create and maintain technical documentation for systems configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with other teams to optimize system performance and resolve issues promptly

Qualifications:

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator
• Post Secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience
• Advanced experience and a deep understanding of Linux internals
• Experience and strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
• Experience writing code using modern programming / scripting languages.
• Excellent analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving
• Ability and willingness to learn and upgrade technical skills
• Understanding of compliance frameworks is an asset
