Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive SEO Specialist who will own the development and execution of SEO strategies that drive measurable improvements in organic visibility, website performance, and lead conversion. This role requires someone who can move beyond running audits to synthesize insights, evaluate business impact, and prioritize initiatives that deliver results.
This position will play a critical role in ensuring our content and website are optimized for both traditional search engines and emerging Generative Search experiences, such as Google SGE and Bing Chat. This position works cross-functionally with Data & Analytics, Marketing, Content, and Design and Development teams to ensure SEO is a foundational driver of growth and a source of clear, actionable recommendations for the business.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Content Optimization
- Help develop and execute SEO initiatives aligned with business goals and marketing priorities.
- Analyze top-performing pages to identify opportunities for keyword optimization and content enhancements.
- Audit underperforming pages to recommend improvements in content, metadata, and keyword strategy.
- Produce keyword recommendations for new pages and content initiatives to support growth priorities.
- Stay current on Generative Search trends (e.g., Google SGE, Bing Chat) and adapt SEO strategies to optimize content visibility in AI-driven search results.
- Help create and maintain a Content Optimization Plan, including clear priorities, timelines, and expected impact.
SEO Performance, Insights & Prioritization
- Conduct regular technical and content audits to identify issues affecting site performance, crawlability, and conversions, including broken pages, crawl errors, and indexation gaps.
- Evaluate and prioritize findings based on business impact, effort, and expected ROI, ensuring work is focused on the highest-value improvements.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized SEO roadmap that balances quick wins with longer-term strategic initiatives, including clear rationale for each decision.
- Synthesize audit results, analytics data, and user behavior trends into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that guide decision-making.
- Communicate the why behind recommendations, explaining trade-offs, dependencies, and anticipated outcomes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Development, Content, and Marketing teams to implement fixes, monitor progress, and measure the impact of optimizations over time.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Monitor and adapt SEO strategies to account for Generative Search experiences (e.g., Google SGE, Bing Chat), ensuring content is discoverable and optimized for emerging AI-driven search interfaces.
- Experiment with structured data, content formats, and authoritative signals to improve inclusion and visibility in generative summaries.
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
- Collaborate with the data team to address and validate GA4 / GTM reporting issues, ensuring accurate and reliable tracking.
- Work with key teams to interpret website traffic, conversion funnels, and engagement metrics.
- Produce and deliver a monthly website insights report that highlights:
- High- and low-performing pages
- Visitor flow trends and referral sources
- Conversion performance and opportunities for improvement
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations based on data findings.
Collaboration & Best Practices
- Act as an SEO advocate across teams, sharing best practices and educating stakeholders.
- Ensure SEO considerations are incorporated into website updates, campaign planning, and content development.
- Support conversion optimization by providing visibility into organic performance and identifying ways to improve lead conversion.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in SEO strategy and execution.
- Strong proficiency in GA4, GTM, Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as SEMrush and Screaming Frog.
- Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals, content optimization, and website analytics.
- Familiarity with Generative Search trends (e.g., Google SGE, Bing Chat) and strategies to optimize visibility in AI-powered search experiences.
- Proven track record of improving organic search performance and driving measurable business results.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Success Measures
- Measurable improvement in organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversions.
- Resolution of GA4 / GTM tracking inconsistencies, resulting in consistent, reliable reporting.
- Delivery of monthly website insights reports with recommendations adopted by the business.
- Execution of the fiscal SEO Strategic Plan with clear outcomes.
- Reduction in critical site errors and improvements in overall SEO health.
