Programs And Planning Specialist
 

Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Intake, the Programs and Planning Specialist will support Canada Operations intake model.  This role is accountable for handling new intake requests, facilitating review meetings and prioritization, and understanding resource capacity. Intake and prioritization reporting and analysis will also be required to provide knowledge and information to senior leadership for decision making. This is a critical role that will interact with stakeholders of varying levels through the organization requiring stakeholder management skills, business acumen, tech savvy, and strong communication skills. Please note this is 12 month contract

 

What you will do 

  • Facilitate a centralized process that funnels project requests into a single intake channel to eliminate confusion for stakeholders and staff
  • Review and evaluate incoming requests for completion, feasibility, strategic alignment, and potential impact
  • Apply an effective scorecard to incoming requests to provide an ability to have prioritization conversations where needed
  • Drive, prepare, lead and manage intake meetings to assess resourcing needs and highlight capacity constraints
  • Administer practices that incorporate resource capacity constraints to cap the amount of project approvals to a realistic level to help improve the throughput of projects
  • Collaborate with CanOps leaders to prioritize, highlight dependencies, and resolve resource challenges
  • Track, analyze and report on resource utilization within CanOps for all projects and initiatives
  • Develop and maintain centralized project and resource management reporting; analyze utilization trends and/or hot spots
  • Please note this is a 12 Month Contract

 

What you will bring 

  • Post-secondary degree or certification 
  • Solid planning and organization skills
  • Effective communication and relationship building skills across all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of technology and business projects, the impact to Canada Operations, and the impact to customers and advisors
  • Results oriented with a bias to action
  • Driven to improve - the organization, processes, service performance, efficiency, etc.
  • Understanding of resource capacity best practices
  • Computer savvy – adept at Office 365 applications, Power BI expertise considered a strong asset

 

The base salary for this position is between  $51,400 - $ 90,400 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
