SEO Manager
We are looking for a sharp, results-driven SEO Manager to define and own the SEO strategy for our portfolio of organic websites. In order to be successful in this role, this candidate must be a true self-starter and the subject matter expert in all things SEO. They can’t be afraid to switch from big-picture planning in the morning to the nitty gritty link analysis in the afternoon. This candidate must have a proven track record in strategizing, implementing, and seeing through all aspects of SEO from tech to content. This is a great opportunity for a tech-savvy Digital Marketer seeking increased responsibility in a growing company.
This is a full-time, in-house position in our London, Ontario, Canada office.
Responsibilities:
- Define, plan, and manage day-to-day SEO for all organic domains
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams for website optimization and core web vitals
- Work cross-functionally with Content team for content creation, guidelines, best SEO practices, and optimization
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery and optimization that outperforms the competition
- Develop and implement a scalable link building strategy
- Identify and fix technical SEO issues rapidly, including architecture, crawlability, and indexability, broken links, etc.
- Audit and perform backlink analysis to maintain a diverse and healthy link profile
- Keep websites relevant to the latest SEO digital marketing trends and best practices
- Assess validity of SEO on external websites for purchase
- Plan and project manage all SEO-related aspects of a website migration into internal systems
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in SEO management in a comparable scale
- Google AdWords, Search Console, and Analytics experience
- Familiarity of HTML, CSS (Javascript, PHP, SQL is a plus)
- Solid understanding of search engines and link structures
- Keeps up to date with current landscape of SEO
- Expertise in A/B and other testing and optimization methods
- Flexible, startup mindset, and ability to operate within a very dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Extremely detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, extremely well organized, have the technical aptitude to learn new technologies
- Comfortable owning all aspects of a SEO project
