The Data Enablement Specialist, reporting to the Data Enablement Lead, is part of the Enterprise Data Enablement Team at Canada Life and plays an essential role advocating for the advancement of data and analytics practices across Canada Life, and supports the delivery of critical data services throughout the organization. The Data Enablement Specialist provides a unique opportunity to help enable our business partners to use data effectively, while contributing to the delivery of scalable solutions that empower our users to succeed. The successful candidate will collaborate with a variety of subject matter experts, leaders, and external vendors to deliver data solutions that unlock the power of connected data.

 

What you will do

  • Partner with all lines of business to deliver data services in accordance with approved delivery methodologies and best practices.
  • Ensure timely response to all data service requests in accordance with identified SLAs.
  • Effectively manage data delivery backlog and provide regular refinement.
  • Track and monitor progress to BU project plans by supporting the delivery of data requirements.
  • Communicates appropriate data delivery information to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Administer JIRA delivery boards to ensure a timely and accurate representation of information.
  • Assist Data Enablement Lead by supporting an effective review of intake assessments.
  • Collaborate with management to support various reporting needs.

 

What you will bring

  • Passion for data and analytics and a customer-service oriented mindset
  • 3+ years' experience supporting data and analytics delivery.
  • Experience partnering with Technology teams and demonstrated success in driving business relationships.
  • Understand the principles and frameworks of successful project management including experience applying flexible delivery methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, Forms, Power BI) and digital communication and learning tools
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to engage and clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable with strong organizational skills.
  • Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website

The base salary for this position is between  $65,400.00 - $114,500.00 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
