Manager, Statistical Programming


Provides management oversight of personnel and project level activities within the Statistical Programming group. Act as subject matter expert, providing statistical programming guidance to project teams, quality/study auditors, and external stakeholders. Works cooperatively with other statistics and statistical programming personnel to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), promoting standardized and consistent operating procedures and maximizing efficiency of the department. Assists with departmental budgeting and headcount planning. Participates in the development and execution of departmental and organizational strategies to enhance service delivery, staff engagement, and operational efficiencies.

Project Support

    • Manage and ensure the statistical programming group meets timelines, provides high quality deliverables, complies with contractual project requirements, and identifies the need for contract modifications due to out of scope activities.
    • Prioritize statistical programming activities across projects and acts as an escalation point to facilitate mutually beneficial resolutions to project conflicts between groups or individuals with promotes teamwork and quickly restores department effectiveness.
    • Participate/lead internal/sponsor meetings as required, working directly with the assigned project manager and team to provide support. • Manage project resources per budget and within expected timeframes.

Personnel Management

    • Coordinate and supervise the day-day work of statistical programming staff assigned.
    • Train and mentor assigned employees on Alimentiv procedures and guidelines.
    • Support individual goal setting and alignment within the department and organization.

Organizational Support

    • Ensure the continuous improvement of the statistical programming group through information sharing, training, and education.
    • Manage the development, review and implementation of policies, SOPs, WI’s, and associated documents to ensure streamlined, consistent, and effective processes related to statistical programming.
    • • Participate and/or lead cross-functional working groups.

Operational Planning

    • Collect and report metrics related to staff capacity management.
    • Assist with departmental budget planning

Qualifications

  •  
    • The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree degree preferably in Epidemiology Statistics/ Biostatistics or Public and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
    • The successful candidate will possess technical skills in SAS, and R.
    • In addition, the successful candidate will have strong verbal and oral communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Home-based

$84,000 - $140,500 a year
