We are looking for a Senior Technical Lead

The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for leading the development of software product and integrated solutions that meet our customer expectations. You will be responsible for creating solution architecture and design for your product in collaboration with Digital Hub platform and architects. You will oversee and make decisions on the overall design and development of the platform, as well as the end-to-end lifecycle, aligning to best practices with the product and architecture teams. You will maintain a high degree of technical and business acumen related to your product.

What You Will Do
  • Lead a cross-functional team to develop, modify, configure and integrate solutions to meet business requirements and engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with the business PO to plan product work, prioritizing tech debt and other technical vitalization items
  • Deliver solution architecture artifacts that define non-functional requirements and implementations as well as end-to-end system impacts
  • Maintain and enforce technology best practices, policies and procedures regarding coding standards, versioning, quality, and configuration
  • Drive product improvements that will accelerate delivery, increase quality and reduce maintenance
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with internal and external partners, i.e. third party vendors where applicable
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members, driving an agile mindset within the product stack
What You Will Bring
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in business or computer science or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Minimum of 8 years experience delivering software, integration or platform engineering solutions following a SDLC
  • High level of proficiency in a full stack development environment
  • Solid understanding of the following is an asset:
    • Java development with Spring Boot
    • UI development with Angular 2+
    • MongoDB or other NoSQL database experience
    • Supply chain experience
  • Proficiency with software development techniques such as Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Automated Testing
  • Technical thought leader, overseeing development and quality standards, including code reviews, code management, documentation, testing and product/platform based monitoring and alerting
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships
  • Ability to pivot and quickly change direction in response to changing priorities
  • Experience coaching and mentoring software developers on requirements analysis, design patterns and development best practices
  • Ability to communicated, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience working in the financial services industry an asset
