Inventory Controls Specialist
 

Position Summary

 

Responsible for inventory stocking levels (Kanban, LSS , Cycle Counting and MRP Safety Stock), order processing and expediting to support production plan.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Responsible for analysis of Kanban sizing and MRP stock levels. Investigations into over/under sizing and over/under stocking levels using DBS IMAG Process.
  • Provides and ensures accurate material control and identification of materials. (ex. cycle counting program, warehouse transfer processes), collaborating with other departments as Procurement and AP to investigate and reconcile discrepancies
  • Work with Procurement to support on-time-delivery of KanBan and stocking orders.
  • Initiates expediting towards fulfillment of Finished Goods, and Materials shortages.
  • Confirms material availability to support Project Builds.
  • Liaisons with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Purchasing, Traffic, Materials, and Sales to maintain the areas of accountability.
  • Execute material handling activities as well as support equipment and racking building or movement
  • Review issues and improvement opportunities within the Supply Chain Team using recognized DBS Tools
  • ERP Implementaion of the ECN (Engineering Change Notification) process
  • Work in a safe manner in compliance with AQF’s Environmental Health & Safety Program, and Business Conduct Policies
  • Performs other appropriate activities as instructed by the SCM Manager

 

 

Measures of Performance

 

  • Raw Material Inventory Turns
  • Kanban and LSS stockouts
  • Participation in IMAG Process - Completion of Weekly Sizing and Stocking Plan Reviews
  • Timely completion of Cycle Count Investigations – Drive to Root Cause and Corrective Actions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Environment with specific exposure to Production Planning, Materials.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to relate to all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office as well as possess a working knowledge of a MRP / ERP system.
  • Works well under pressure and able to be productive in a fast-paced environment.
