Technical Writing Specialist

ZTR is looking to add an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writing Specialist to our team! This individual will provide expert level governance and oversight to all technical documentation and training activities within the IIoT division.

As the Technical Writing Specialist, you will:

• Be the ‘go to’ expert for technical documentation and training artifact quality.
• Massage content from a multitude of sources into best-in-class, end-user documentation.
• Work with development teams to ensure consistency, automating the documentation process where possible.
• Build out strategic initiatives such as a Developer Portal, Knowledge base, and Content Libraries.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders/auditors during security and other regulatory/compliance activities.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• 5+ year’s hands-on experience writing End User Technical Documentation
• 3+ year’s hands-on experience creating Web-based (WBT) or Computer-based (CBT) training materials
• Proven track record transforming technical data into best-in-class technical documentation
• Knowledge of content management authoring/publishing tools
• Sound knowledge of XML and HTML and various help formats
• Experience in an agile development environment, gathering data and information from a variety of sources (development, QA, UX, and product management)
• Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.) is an asset.
• Familiarity with LMS systems is an asset
