Job Description

Role Overview

Company: tbk

Location: London, Ontario, or remote anywhere in Canada

Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000 to $85,000

We’re tbk.

We’re a digital agency in London, Ontario, 17 years in. We build brands, websites, and marketing programs for brave clients looking to grow.

We’re also ahead. We were first through the gate on AI, and it pays off. We run on Claude and the multi-agent workflows we’ve built on top of it. Our bots and agents clear the busywork, which frees us up for the big, inventive work our clients take to the boardroom. We’re far enough out front that those same clients hire us to help bring AI into their own organizations.

And we like it here. We’re a small, senior team that’s glad to see each other in the morning. We move fast because the work is exciting.

The role.

We’re looking for a curious technologist who can’t stop tinkering. You use AI for everything. You’ve built websites. You’ve probably written some code, run a project or two, and helped a customer who was stuck. You don’t have to be an expert at any of it. What counts is that you love technology, you learn fast, and you can’t leave a problem alone until it’s solved.

One day you’re turning a client’s messy request into a clear plan. The next you’re building a page, fixing a bug with Claude at your side, or walking a client through what changed and why. If that variety sounds fun, keep reading.

Your job is to keep our web projects moving and to build a real share of them yourself. You’ll coordinate the pieces: client requirements, design, development, QA, and launch. You’ll get hands-on in WordPress and the front end. You’ll support clients once their sites are live. You’re the person who notices when a project is drifting, and the person who digs in to fix it.

AI is the baseline here. You’ll use it every day to draft and review code, turn client calls into tickets, write documentation, and test faster than you could by hand. The whole agency works this way. Our web strategists build wireframes with AI, and our marketing team runs research, content, and reporting through it. We want someone who already reaches for these tools on their own and gets excited when a new one drops. If you’d rather keep AI out of the loop, this isn’t the room for you.

What you’ll own.

  • An AI-first workflow. Claude and our multi-agent workflows are how we plan, build, and document. You’ll use them daily, push them further, and own the quality of what you ship with them.
  • Websites. Building and updating WordPress sites, from content changes and page builds to small features.
  • Some development. Writing and editing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP with AI’s help, and digging into code you didn’t write until it makes sense.
  • Project coordination. Stand-ups, timelines, and dependencies, so design, development, and QA never sit around waiting on each other.
  • Requirements and tickets. Turning client conversations into clear requirements and a backlog the team can build from.
  • Client support. Answering questions, fixing what’s broken, and explaining technical things in plain language. Clients should leave every conversation feeling looked after.
  • QA and testing. Checking your own work and others’ before launch, with AI tools to widen coverage.
  • Curiosity, put to work. Trying new tools and new approaches, and asking why until you understand a problem at its root.

Are you our person?

  • Is AI already part of how you work every day, because you chose it?
  • Do you get excited about new technology and want to know how it works?
  • Have you built or managed websites, in WordPress or anything else?
  • Have you written some code, even if it’s scripts, tweaks, or side projects, and do you want to write more?
  • Have you coordinated a project, run a backlog, or kept a team on schedule?
  • Have you done customer or client support, and do you like helping people get unstuck?
  • Can you turn a messy client ask into something concrete?
  • Do you like a day that mixes a stand-up, a client call, and some building?
  • Do you prefer fast-changing work to one narrow lane?
  • Do designers, developers, and clients enjoy working with you?
  • Are you early in your career (roughly 1 to 3 years) and ready for real ownership?

If you’re nodding down the line, we want to talk.

The first year, roughly.

  • Weeks 1-2: you shadow projects and learn our stack: WordPress, Claude, and our own multi-agent workflows. You sit in on client calls and pick up your first small tickets.
  • Weeks 3-4: you run parts of daily coordination, handle your first client support requests, and ship your first website updates.
  • Weeks 5-8: you’re a regular voice in client conversations. You split your day between coordination, support, and building, and you QA your own work and others’.
  • 6 months: you coordinate a project end to end. You’ve shipped work clients are using, and you’ve built at least one AI workflow that saves the team time.
  • 12 months: we trust your judgment across the role. You’re choosing the bigger, messier problems because they’re the fun ones.

The perks.

  • A real, warm, ego-free culture. Good people who care about the work and each other.
  • An award-winning agency with trusted national and international clients and room to build something bigger.
  • $65,000 to $85,000
  • London, Ontario, or remote anywhere in Canada.
  • 4 Friday afternoons off in the summer.
  • Real ownership early on, and an AI-first stack (we basically don’t say no to innovation).
  • Health and dental benefits, and paid time off.
  • A professional development budget to keep you learning.
  • The best AI tooling we can put in your hands, and a team that has already built its processes around it.
  • Variety. No two days look the same, on purpose.

How to apply.

Show us how you think. Send your resume and a short note on three things:

  • A time you turned a vague ask into something concrete.
  • Something you built with technology that you’re proud of, and why. A website, a script, an automation, an AI workflow: all fair game.
  • The last new tool or technology you went down a rabbit hole on, and what you did with it.

What happens next

If it looks like a fit, we will move quickly:

  • Short intro conversation
  • Practical exercise (small, real-world, outcome-focused)
  • Final conversation with leadership
