Account Director - IT Division
 

Position Summary

The Account Director role is responsible for managing, maintaining and growing a book of business. This is achieved through a consistent service level, driving out of cycle growth opportunities, generating new business and optimizing membership service levels on existing contracts.

They will develop a territory growth plan that proactively ensures the maximum number of accounts renew their contracts, positions all accounts for growth with additional seats and services and generates a consistent pipeline of new accounts to growth their territory in Advisory members, number of accounts and revenue.

The Account Director will partner with their members to understand their challenges and match them with our services and improve their organization.

Major Responsibilities

  • Partnering with your members to understand their needs to match them to our services and ensure they receive value through regular feedback.
  • Building strategic account plans to maximize current account spend and uncover additional opportunities by leveraging relationships.
  • Continuous effort towards personal and professional development driven by the individual.
  • Record client details and account notes in CRM system - Follow internal reporting processes.

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education – Minimum College Diploma
  • 2-5 years B2B sales

Skills

  • Critical Thinking: Ability to assimilate complex information and communicate this in a simple way.
  • Internal and external communication: Understand value proposition and communicate to member in a clear, concise manner. Understand clients’ needs/requests and be able to say it back to them/find analyst to support them.
  • Planning and Organization: Set daily schedules, plan territory, setting plans for account growth
  • Time Management: Managing the member lifecycle; scheduling calls; able to prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Goal Setting: Sets own goals around conversations that demonstrates a commitment to professional development; takes ownership of own performance; manage goal attainment; able to set reasonable goals; monitor progress and communicate/ask for help when off pace for goal attainment
  • Active Listening: Able to identify client needs; asks great questions & listens.
