Who you are:

You will provide administration and user support for Salesforce at Ivey Publishing. You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Salesforce and, using your proven Business Analyst skills, you will enhance operational efficiency and deliver a positive customer and user experience to Ivey Publishing operations, which include internal stakeholders and world-wide external users. As the internal Salesforce expert within Ivey Publishing, your knowledge and expertise enables you to guide, train, and mentor those in the department on the effective use of Salesforce. You possess a strong understanding of cloud-based business applications, extensive experience with data management and reporting, and the ability to manage multiple projects.

What you’ll do:

Salesforce Administration
  • Maintain profiles, roles, users, security settings, sharing rules, etc.
  • Supporting data and data integrity, including data updates, diagnose causes of data inaccuracies, and propose solutions for correction and prevention.
  • Support and perform report and dashboard creation, enhancement, and training.
  • Evaluate and review new releases by Salesforce and communicate possible impacts to Ivey Publishing.
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows and processes.
  • Support and maintain third party apps that work in conjunction with, feed data into, or use data from Salesforce (e.g. FormAssembly).
  • Create and maintain system documentation, ensuring it is up to date for users.
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to ensure all solutions work towards a desired future state.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support on any user issues.
  • Work with Ivey IT to identify and resolve integration issues that require IT involvement
Business Analysis
  • Optimize individual and team performance related to the usage of Salesforce by working across multiple business functions to identify, document, and implement streamlined business processes
  • Participate in the development of a Salesforce Strategy/Roadmap, including identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of approved solutions, including documenting technical and business requirements, training, documentation and ongoing support.
  • Facilitate change management, including documentation and training for Salesforce users on new features
  • Conduct business process review and analysis, proposes solutions to supervisor.
  • Develop and deliver training to Salesforce users on org structure and process best practices to support and increase user adoption.
  • Interact with department staff and managers to bring forward project opportunities that promote operational efficiency and improvement.
  • Evaluate and recommend new AppExchange apps, plug-ins and related tools that contribute to achieving business goals and strategies.
  • Research, diagnose and evaluate the system to identify possibilities for performance and process solutions and enhancements for all aspects of the business.

What you have:

Required Education and Experience:
  • Successful completion of a University degree or College diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in a role involving Salesforce support and/or administration
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Interface required
  • Experience with data migration and integration
  • Knowledge and experience with Commerce Cloud, FormAssembly and Tableau software is an asset
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification preferred

  • Proven ability to evaluate 3rd party software against business needs
  • Proven track record of business process analysis, mapping and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to design and document functional requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria

Location: London, ON

Position Type: This is a full-time (35-hours/week) 3-year renewable contract with full benefits.

Typical Hiring Range: Based on the salary band for this role, external candidates can expect to be offered a starting salary in the range of $73,500- $91,900. When determining salary we consider the market, candidate experience, as well as internal equity. Once in the role, successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress through the range and beyond the hiring range of the band, through annual increases. The maximum salary for this band is approximately 20% higher than the top end of the hiring range.
