Supervisor, Advertising Operations
 

The Role: 

The Supervisor, Advertising Operations is responsible for the day-to-day management of UnityWorks (a division of Autodata Solutions and J.D. Power) digital advertising solutions and the Ad Operations team. This will require daily interaction with our internal teams such as sales, account management and content production to plan, execute, measure, and optimize digital advertising initiatives across multiple platforms for our clients. 

This role is a multidisciplinary role blending elements of ad technology, process & policy management, and people management.  Day-to-day functions include managing to client goals and KPIs relative to inventory availability and capability of media providers and platforms.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy, planning, performance evaluation, and optimization across media channels using best-in-class partners and platforms.
  • Initiate and foster strong relationships with publishers, data providers and other third-party partners.
  • Setup and execution of programmatic digital insertion orders across multiple platforms/channels (Doubleclick, Facebook, TrueView, Google Analytics etc).
  • Lead efforts to explore new channel and ad formats for product expansion opportunities.
  • Facilitate campaign creative approvals, setup, and campaign implementation including channel/platform recommendations.
  • Develop and recommend scalable audience targeting criteria, placements, bid rules, weight, scheduling, and reach frequency goals.
  • Lead campaign optimization efforts by analyzing campaign performance data and insights.
  • Create, maintain and present weekly and monthly campaign status and metrics.
  • Proactively troubleshoot delivery and technical issues to ensure meeting highest delivery standards.
  • Serve as the escalation point for troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of ad operations, as well a field and coordinate resolutions for client or partners.
  • Manage the trafficking, testing and implementation of ad campaigns and pixel tags as needed.
  • Monitor all live campaigns for proper serving, click through action, and conversion events.
  • Collaborate with internal account teams for day-to-day management of media campaigns including providing campaign performance projections.
  • Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Create best practices, standards and guidelines for ad ops team, from insertion order creation to launching campaigns and the management of all processes. 
  • Manage staff performance to meet or exceed internal and external client expectations.
  • Develop, motivate and train Media Operations team members.
  • Establish and track corporate and personal development objectives for each employee assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Media Operations
  • 4+ years of experience managing a team
  • Previous agency and programmatic platform experience is mandatory
  • Extensive trafficking experience with Doubleclick (DV360), Facebook and other online advertising platforms.
  • Familiarity with the online advertising ecosystem; different ad technology stacks and vendors and how they fit into the digital advertising ecosystem
  • Understanding and experience with latest creative types (e.g. rich media, DCO, mobile and video) and standard industry tracking and measurement tools (e.g. viewability, verification, brand study)
  • Experience working with Tag Management Solutions
  • Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, open environment
  • Highly motivated and driven
  • Methodical, well-organized, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
