This role will involve travel to the US, for on-site engagements, and therefore, TN Visa eligibility is a requirement as is the willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time (2 weeks per month) - once it is save to do so.

Summary:

As a Director or Sr Director, IT Workshop Delivery, you will be actively engaged in delivering measurable value to Info-Tech Research Group’s members by utilizing our IT Best Practice methodologies, detailed in our IT Blueprints, to deliver online or on-site structured 1-week workshops designed to help improve their IT strategy, processes, and organizational effectiveness. The areas of focus of our IT workshops include:

  • IT Strategy, Organizational Change Management
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Information Security and Privacy
  • IT Helpdesk/Operations, Infrastructure/Cloud Strategy, Disaster Recovery Planning,
  • IT Governance (COBIT, ITIL),
  • Data Governance, Data Management
  • Application Development, Enterprise Application (ERP/HRIS/CRM/ECM) selection and Implementation
  • Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management

Major Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to provide value to Info-Tech Research Group members (clients) through workshops engagements.
  • Properly scope out the workshop effort with clients over the phone a few weeks ahead of online or on-site workshop delivery.
  • Assist in the development of Statements Of Work to formalize the objective, agenda, and deliverables of workshops.
  • Utilize our IT Best Practice Methodology Blueprints to lead and facilitate 1-week workshops, assisting members through the process of executing IT projects or improving processes along a variety of IT disciplines. 
  • Work with client cross-functional teams to define the scope and outcomes of their IT projects, perform capability maturity assessments and gap analyses, and identify member improvement opportunities/recommendations.
  • Identify further areas of advisory assistance required by clients after the workshop.
  • Contribute to Info-Tech Research Group research by developing client case studies and/or industry research notes.
  • Generate insight and providing expertise to assist with the development of our research content.

Education and Experience  

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, IT, or related discipline. MBA is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience within IT leadership roles OR consulting roles within medium to large organizations (IT team size between 25 and 100 FTEs)
  • Acquired experience in more than one of the following areas:
    • IT Strategy, Organizational Change Management
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Information Security,
    • IT Helpdesk/Operations, Infrastructure/Cloud Strategy, Disaster Recovery Planning,
    • IT Governance (COBIT, ITIL)
    • Data Governance, Data Quality Management
    • Application Development, Enterprise Application (ERP/HRIS/CRM/ECM) selection and Implementation
    • Project Portfolio Management, Resource Management
  • Superior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, exceptional ability to work well with others.
  • The ability, flexibility, and enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, and energetic environment.
  • Previous experience presenting to a C-Suite audience.
  • Certifications in an IT or project management related topic e.g. PMP, COBIT 5, ITIL are considered beneficial
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.

Skills

  • Client Interaction and Facilitation; Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients over the phone and particularly through the facilitation of one-week workshops in-person with an audience of 5 to 20 clients (mid management to executive management).
  • Client Advisory and Service Delivery; lead multiple clients through complex projects by providing guidance, critical analysis, and support
  • Insight Generation; built client relationships and established themselves as a trusted advisor in their space
  • Opportunity Identification and Definition; lead multiple clients through structured working sessions; can facilitate an inclusive discussions in order to meet clear objectives
