Photo Post-Production Technician

Title:  Post-Production Technician

Location:  London, Ontario

Position Overview:

The Post Production Technician is responsible for utilizing industry standard software (i.e. photoshop) to enhance raw images provided by the Company’s photographer to high standards that are driven by product requirements and client demand (i.e. compare products, configuration products, client custom work).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various graphics software packages and equipment to correct color balance, set shadows, and “clean-up” images at the professional photographic level within the digital/web/print environment for distribution
  • Collaborate with photographers and dept. leads on jobs from beginning to end
  • Maintain department nomenclature, format and file organization per current processes of all images and image sets
  • Assist in archiving and organizing all photography files for all auto manufacturers (year, model, make)
  • Ensure Autodata media image database is correct and current at all times
  • Maintain our workflow tools (Jira) with accurate and complete comments and work hour logs

 

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Post Production Technician (Level 1 – Training) role
  • Formal or semi/formal training in graphic arts is an asset but not required (a certificate from a recognized institution is an asset)
  • Experience with recent versions of Adobe Photoshop required (Bridge and Camera Raw download software and MAC experience is an asset)
  • PC skills and hands-on experience with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
  • Knowledge of common computer and basic Internet technologies is required
  • Good communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
  • Solid understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, directed, and detail-oriented
