CARFAX is seeking an experienced Fraud Prevention Operations Manager to join our Finance team. This position will work closely with the Director, FP&A and Fraud Prevention and the Fraud Prevention Product Manager to build policies and process and recommend product solutions to prevent revenue leakage.  This is a new role at CARFAX is focused helping protect CARFAX and our customers.  A great candidate is a process-oriented problem solver, critical thinker, and entrepreneurial, while the ideal candidate has experience building a fraud prevention function from the ground up.

As a Fraud Prevention Operations Manager, you will:

  • Build new processes and policies that will allow CARFAX to effectively detect, respond to, and prevent fraudulent behavior and account misuse
  • Expand detection reporting and analyze Dealer behavior; Guide a new team of ML/AI Engineers
  • Partner with the Fraud Prevention Product Manager to recommend and test fraud mitigations within and across CARFAX products
  • Monitor revenue leakage; Find new ways to convert leakage to revenue
  • Collaborate cross functionally with our Account Protection Team, Product, IT, Finance, Legal and others on a regular basis
  • Manage communications to external CARFAX customers
  • Grow and manage the Fraud Prevention team

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 8-10 years’ progressive leading projects and implementation, including 2-3 years’ experience in fraud and account protection
  • Experience with online identity, authentication, authorization and access management, online payment fraud, Trust & Safety, risk control or anti-fraud function
  • Ability to think strategically and at the same time, be comfortable diving into the details and staying on top of tactical execution
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally
  • Proven presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Basic SQL skills or willingness to learn
  • Advanced Excel skills required with experience performing in-depth business analytics
  • Ability to track and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
