Job Description


HR Generalist

Position Overview:
Provides a range of Human Resources services and advice within an assigned location or division. Works with local management to understand, address and ensure effective resolution of issues related to employee relations, labor relations and associated standard / regulatory compliance. Collaborates with local leaders and HR centers of excellence to facilitate delivery of salary administration, benefits, payroll, performance management, employee development, records management and related processes and programs. Engages with local leaders, teams and employees to address / resolve questions relating to HR, people management and related practices. Advises on local legal/ policy requirements.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess working generalist experience in HR related matters and communicate meaningful contributions on a variety of topics
  • Strong understanding of the overall business environment, company culture and HR systems and processes
  • Handle personnel issues with confidentiality and respect
  • Knowledge of current key rules, laws and regulations related to human resource function
  • Knowledge of external working environment and the industry
  • Capacity to work independently and in team settings with concentration on the goal and common good
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to multi-task
  • Sound decision making and problem solving skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in human resources, general business, administration, or related field OR equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience in progressive levels of human resources
  • Foundational Knowledge of local regulations
  • English advanced level
  • Intermediate level French, preferred
