Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a crucial role in HR4's growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities. This entry-level role supports the Sales and Marketing teams by researching potential clients, engaging prospective customers, and setting up qualified meetings to drive new partnerships. The BDR is an integral part of our sales funnel, enabling HR4 to expand its client base across North America.
To be a standout in this role, you'll need grit, discipline, and a “dig in” mindset that drives you to go beyond the ordinary. Mastering HR4 inside and out, understanding the market, and staying in tune with our customers’ needs are critical. Our primary goal is to pique dealers' interest in our solution and compel them to book a demo with you.

This role is required to work in the London office minimum 3 days per week.
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: To learn the market inside and out
- Take ownership of understanding your market and identifying the needs of potential customers.
- Organize the information within the format provided including information about the dealership and what systems are in place, and if they use them.
- Generate and qualify new leads through various channels (e.g., cold calls, emails, social media, and inbound inquiries).

Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects in the CRM (Hubspot), ensuring timely follow-up.
Client Outreach & Engagement: To generate interest and book demos
- Initiate contact with potential clients to introduce HR4’s solutions and assess interest.
- When communicating with the customer develop an understanding of client needs to effectively communicate HR4's value proposition.
- Collaborate with the rest of the sales team to schedule meetings with qualified leads.
Market Research: To thoroughly understand your competitors
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to continuously refine outreach strategies.
- Collect insights to support sales and marketing strategies, assisting in targeting high-potential prospects.
Collaboration & Communication: To ensure you are getting what you need and being heard.
- Thoroughly research and identify potential clients within the automotive sector and other relevant markets.
- Work closely with the Vice-President to transition leads through the sales pipeline effectively.
- Provide feedback to the Marketing and Product teams based on client responses and observed trends.
- Engage in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on HR4's offerings and sales strategies.
- Be prepared to provide regular updates to key stakeholders on progress, obstacles and opportunities.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
- Comfortable with CRM software (Hubspot) and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand software features and benefits.
Education & Experience:
- Sales Experience in a client-facing role is required, within HR is a bonus.
- Software implementation experience is a bonus.
- Bilingual with fluency in English and French would be a strong asset.
Working hours may not always fall into the regular nine to five patterns, so a willingness to be flexible and go above and beyond to meet client expectations will be required.
