Position Purpose

 The Associate Commercial Director, Exhibitor Sales is an exciting new role and an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing departments at Info-Tech. This is the perfect role for you if you are interested in generating new revenue and driving sales growth through the identification and engagement of prospective sponsors through (a) prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, and scheduling phone presentations, (b) identifying companies who see value in our IT & HR Conferences, Audiences, and Analysts through research and discovery with Marketing Executives, Field Marketers, & Event Marketers, and (c) delivering against set meeting and revenue goals and metrics.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Booking meetings is the priority of the Associate Commercial Director
  • The role is heavily structured to involve the Associate Commercial Director in the full sales cycle with the Director of Event Partnerships with the meetings they book.
  • The development plan will include a progression to have the Associate Commercial Director run their own sales cycles.
  • The Associate Commercial Director will be responsible for prospecting accounts within an assigned territory, identifying net-new high-value target accounts, multi-channel prospecting through email, LinkedIn, the phone, and various other channels, answering questions from and qualifying leads, and coordinating and scheduling sales meetings.
  • The Associate Commercial Director will be responsible for supporting the Director Event Partnership with pre-event logistics and post-event renewals.
  • The role may require some travel.
  • Success in this role will lead to increased responsibility and the opportunity to manage a sales cycle independently.

Education & Experience

  • Post-Secondary Degree
  • Up to one year experience in a customer service/sales/corporate sponsorships role

  • Business acumen: Uses knowledge of the business environment and IT to engage customers, preferred.
  • Self-awareness: Self-motivated with an awareness and understanding of one’s strengths and areas of development, preferred.
