Position Description:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for one of two customer segments: sales to suppliers or sales to independent businesses. These two sectors are a major focus of LBMX and are expected to be the fastest growing part of the business over the next number of years. These customer sectors are in addition to our sales focus on buying groups and purchasing cooperatives.
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for the prospecting of LBMX technology products such as PIM (Product Information Management), eCommerce Solutions and B2B Integration services to one of these customer segments.
This is an onsite/hybrid role.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, current client base and similar customer prospects.
- Reach out to potential clients through cold calling, and email campaigns, to introduce LBMX and assess their business needs.
- Conduct thorough qualification of leads to ensure alignment with LBMX's target customer profile.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to coordinate and strategize on lead generation and outreach efforts.
- Clearly and effectively communicate LBMX's value proposition to potential clients, highlighting how our software solutions can address their specific challenges.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with qualified leads to further explore opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system, track progress, and provide regular reports to the sales and leadership teams.
Requirements:
Need to Have
- A university degree or college diploma
- One to two years sales experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment
- Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, PowerPoint
- An independent problem solver with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects
- Strong verbal skills and ability to develop a rapport with people over the phone
- Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
