Software Developer

Location: London, ON

Working in an agile team environment of Developers, UX Designers, and Business Intelligence. Software Developers at EventConnect have the flexibility to grow their careers across a wide subset of software development. You will have the opportunity to develop highly performant APIs on the backend as well as create the visual components that our users interact with every day.

What you will bring to the role:

• Minimum 1 years of experience working with Vue.js or React JS (mandatory)
• Minimum 1 years of experience working with Laravel (mandatory)
• Experience working with relational database solutions
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience working with version control software (ex GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab)
• A solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work in a cross-functional team
• A passion for staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Work on our current tech stack (Laravel, Vue.js)
• Mentor junior developers and assist in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
• Participate in technical design and planning discussions and work with team leads to propose technical solutions
• Work closely with product, UX, and engineering teams to ensure newly delivered features meet customer needs and are consistent across the product

Working Conditions:

• Standard Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Flex Hours
• Onboarding Period: In-office attendance five days a week to ensure proper training and team integration
• After Onboarding: Flexible work arrangements allow for up to four days remote per week, with at least one day in the office
