Given the size and scope of our organization, we have the flexibility for this position to be located in the following head office locations: Montreal, Toronto, London, Winnipeg. 

 

Role description 

 

What you will do 

 

  • Independently work with subject matter experts (SME) from across the organization to identify and document current state processes and to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Engage with team members to identify and document alternatives and recommend future state processes that improve the customer experience and drive efficiencies for the organization
  • Collect, clean, analyze and visualize data to inform data driven decisions
  • Work with system SME and data product SME to create mapping of data between source systems and data product
  • Identify and document data requirements to meet business outcomes
  • Work closely with the delivery team to identify, coordinate, and consolidate dependencies to deliver on the release plan
  • Work closely with the Tech and Data team members to ensure adequate testing by contributing to test plans, identification of test situations and test cases, execution of test plan and verification that test results meet business expectations
  • Identify, escalate and contribute to the resolution of issues and mitigation of risks

  • Previous experience in creating process flows, documentation, data mapping and analysis, functional testing and validation
  • Comfortable with handling and analyzing large amounts of data including querying, mapping between systems etc.
  • Broad knowledge of insurance domain (Group life/health/disability) and understanding of underwriting, policy administration, enrollment and claims systems
  • Working knowledge of navigation in mainframe systems
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud, Data Warehousing and Data Analytics flow
  • Working knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL
  • Previous experience with data analysis and visualization tools preferred (Tableau and Power BI)
  • Strong knowledge of Agile
