Job Description:

Hive Media Group is looking for a Content Writer to join our team, working on an exciting brand with over 9M Facebook followers and 1.3M Instagram followers. The ideal candidate will help create editorial content for a brand focused on mindfulness, self-improvement, astrology, and spirituality. Our ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and open to new ideas. This role is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for positivity and digital publishing who wants to make an impact on a large and engaged digital community.

*****This is a full-time, in-house position in London, Ontario (During COVID-19 we will be WFH indefinitely, with plans to reopen the office in 2022-23) **Applicants must submit a resume and writing sample with your application to be considered**

 

• Write original posts focused on a wide variety of topics
• Develop various content types, including long-form SEO articles, short-form engagement pieces, quizzes, and slideshows
• Participate in daily and weekly feedback sessions
• Analyze trends and pitch new topics
• Revise published articles with new information when applicable
• Create engaging headlines and social thumb images
• Create content using our proprietary content management system

• Strong knowledge of and passion for mindfulness, self-improvement, astrological, and spiritual content
• Ability to quickly research and learn new areas of brand-related topics
• Can quickly develop stories from ideation through the final written word
• Has an eye for attention-grabbing image selection that work on social media platforms
• Self-starter with ability to collaborate with team members and other departments in order to support brand growth
• Highly proficient in the English language, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
• Is able to continuously meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
• Experience in Wordpress and on social media platforms an asset
• 1 year of high-volume digital media writing experience in a professional setting
