Role Overview
Western Communications is looking for a seasoned marketing professional and strategic thinker to build awareness of the university’s comprehensive fundraising campaign.
The role requires a go-getter who can anticipate audience needs, execute complex plans and scour analytics to inform next steps.
You will play a pivotal role in executing marketing campaigns that differentiate Western from its key competitors. You have mastered the art of creating compelling content that drives participation from key audiences. Ensuring that best practices are employed, you are most comfortable in spaces where emphasis is placed on digital-first marketing approaches.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, Advancement Communications & Marketing, the Manager, Campaign Marketing will be responsible for the development and implementation of all required assets to effectively launch Western’s most ambitious fundraising campaign. The role requires marketing expertise that includes both traditional and innovative approaches.
The role will provide strategic advice and guidance to partners in University Advancement and will work in collaboration to ensure alignment with the University’s strategic vision. You will have responsibility for developing and executing proactive strategies that elevate Western’s reputation and build brand awareness.
Qualifications
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree; with a major in communications, marketing, or business administration, coupled with 7 years’ experience in communications and/or marketing. Experience in fundraising and the post-secondary environment is preferred.
You have proven ability to establish and build effective working relationships and partnerships with senior leaders, colleagues, and external stakeholders. You consistently demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple projects while ensuring all deadlines are met and all expenditures are on budget.
You bring leadership skills that have the ability to inspire employees, promote a shared vision towards excellence and provide guidance, support and feedback in a way that is positively received and achieves effective results.
