Our Hiring Manager Says

This position will own tax for the company. This doesn’t mean doing everything, but instead making sure all tax-related tasks get done timely and accurately. This means working with external tax service providers to ensure tax compliance obligations are met, working with internal team members to obtain and provide information to external tax service providers and others, ensuring tax-related risks are identified and addressed, assisting in due diligence for acquisitions, evaluating how changes in tax law will affect the company, etc. To be clear, this is an active role where you manage and act (not a passive role where you wait for things to come to you), and this role currently has no direct reports. You don’t have to have expertise in all tax matters in all tax jurisdictions, but rather be able to get to the right answers and steps using available internal and external resources - you will be working hand-in-glove with our external tax service provider in order to accomplish these tasks, as you will be managing them. You can drive improvements in the company related to how tax is managed.
