Full-stack Developer

Job Summary:

The Full-stack Developer will be a key member of The Minery Ltd.’s Product team and will work closely with the Vice President of Development and the rest of the Product team to drive our platforms forward. This position will also work closely with the President and Vice President to ensure the best user experience.

Your key responsibilities of in this role would include writing code, analyzing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of software. To be successful as a Full-stack Developer, you must possess extensive experience in software development alongside great skill in creativity and innovation, an ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills.

Specific Responsibilities:

The Full-stack Developer is a cross functional position that helps in various projects, as required, across either software platforms. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with the team to solve problems and create solutions, programming our platforms using Yii 1 Framework, PHP, MySQL, and other web technologies.

• Front and back-end development of websites and applications
• Performing coding assignments
• Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality
• Analyzing code segments regularly
• Identifying user and system requirements for new applications
• Liaising with the designer to review UI/UX elements (like graphics, navigation buttons etc.)
• Running functionality testing’s and debugging code
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments
• Prioritizing given projects, setting timelines and delivering within the same
• Taking responsibility for development work done and ownership of thorough quality control

Skills and Competencies:

• Must have atleast 2-3 years development experience. 
• Must have Web Development experience.
• Must have PHP MVC Framework Experience.
• Experience with OO development in a LAMP environment (PHP, MySQL, Javascript).
• Proficiency with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery is required.
• Strong Experience with MySQL.
• Strong Experience with Git and some familiarity with Docker.
• Android and iOS experience is an asset, React Native experience is a strong asset
• Experience with AWS is an asset.
• Proven experience in development of flexible and scalable web-based applications.
• Able to manage a positive relationship with customers and coworkers.
• Able to communicate and deliver to customers in a timely manner.
• Able to multitask and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Able to take initiative and find areas of opportunity.
• Organized and with an eagle eye for the details.

A Developer thinks creatively and strategically, striving for personal and team growth. Working hours may not always fall into the regular nine to five pattern, so a willingness to be flexible and go above and beyond to meet client expectations will be required.
