Job Description

LBMX is looking for a UX Designer to help turn our customer facing applications into something they enjoy using!  The UX Designer will work to study the user experience using quantitative and qualitative tools and measuring how easy it is to complete tasks in an efficient manner while improving ease-of-use capabilities through many different approaches.  In this role, the UX Designer will be an analytical and creative individual who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems.  A strong portfolio of successful UX and other technical projects is essential.  The UX Designer will help mold the look and feel of the platform.

UX Designer will work closely with the Chief Product Officer, Senior Visual Designer, Product Managers, as well as other internal staff and customers to help improve the user experience through all applications.  This is a collaborative role that requires alignment with both internal departments as well as external customers.  UX Designer will work closely with each Product Manager to create a cohesive approach to each application so as a user interacts with each application they have a consistent user experience throughout the platform.

The successful candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills and be committed to providing an exceptional customer experience. The successful candidate will also have strong people and organizational skills, be comfortable as an effective member of a productive team and can manage a full-on work environment by managing the expectations of our customers and matching those to our internal resources.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understand product specifications and user psychology and predict what might work for both
  • Identify target user groups and carry out interviews or other types of inquiry to help understand user needs
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of customized experiences for the digital user
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps
  • Coordinate development of wireframes around customer needs with Senior Visual Designer
  • Perform tests on user interface elements such as CTAs, layouts, target links, landing pages and banners
  • Present findings from quantitative and qualitative research to internal stakeholders
  • Working closely with the Chief Product Officer, Senior Graphic Designer, Product Managers, and other internal staff and customers to help guide and improve overall customer experience through the entire platform
  • Managing and tracking the status of customer requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforcing and redefining as necessary
  • Communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements—verbally or through written documentation—to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary College or University Education; product management certificates or courses are a plus
  • Five or more years’ experience as a UX Designer in a SaaS environment, experience in a B2B SaaS Platform environment preferred
  • Significant experience preferred in designing products which have achieved go to market success
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Proficient on design software applications
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Analytical mind with a business acumen
  • Superior interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational ability, and comfortable acting as an effective member of a high-performance team
  • Experience managing client and internal stakeholder expectations in a SaaS organization that maintains servers, databases, and software that allows these applications to be accessed over the Internet
  • Comfortable calling and speaking with clients; using their feedback and market data to identify areas for improvements.
