As a Senior Software Engineer on one of our core Data Technologies teams, you will work collaboratively with a team of software and data engineers to design, build and scale our record-breaking vehicle used car listing solutions that provide customers with high value-based search results for their buying experience.  As the fastest growing car listing site, you will leverage the latest techniques and tools to maintain a very high performing solution that enriches the quality of information delivered to consumers across the globe. 

As a Senior Software Engineer you will:

• Work in a team environment using Agile practices
• Develop high performing data streams and APIs to guarantee fast and accurate delivery
• Utilize Test Driven, Paired Programming and Continuous Integration development methods
• Constantly learn from and educate others to improve yourself and CARFAX

 As a Senior Software Engineer you will be expected to have:

• 7+ years of experience with Object Orientated Programming
• Ability to solve complex problems and learn from mistakes
• Familiarity with database concepts
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment

You will also need established experience in and/or knowledge of:

• Java, C# or C++
• Frameworks like Groovy and Spring
• MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, etc.
• RabbitMQ
• Unit testing
• Git version control
• AWS
