This position is subject to averaging of hours.
On occasion, may need to work weekends and evenings as required.

Note: This is a full-time Support position (35 hours per week).

Duties: Under the supervision of the Director, the incumbent provides support for the functioning of the network operations centre, and administration of systems and technologies comprising the College-wide network infrastructure. Applies experience and follows direction of Systems and Network Specialist and Senior I.T. Infrastructure Specialist in supporting critical network services, monitoring devices and College local and wide area network needs. Assists in similar activities for College area-specific projects.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Computer Science, IT Operations, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience installing and maintaining network devices and related technologies in a large enterprise environment
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
