Job Description

Working closely with internal SMEs, the Junior Video Editor/Trainer will be working within existing frameworks and be responsible for creating engaging and entertaining training videos from unfinished recordings, maintaining the training video repository, and serving in various roles and responsibilities, including the training delivery.

NOTE: This opportunity has a full-time remote option for candidates residing in Canada.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble raw footage/recording from internal SMEs.
  • Storyboard multimedia learning objects such as videos or animated/interactive art.
  • Input sound to enhance the video, including voice-overs.
  • Create multimedia materials using presentation software, rapid-development tools and image/audio processing software.
  • Publish materials to various online tools.
  • Plan, schedule and track projects, maintaining aggressive deadlines and communicate risks in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate training courses to internal employees and external customers as required.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Experience with video editing, creation, and publishing (Portfolio of sample work required)
  • Some familiarity with video editing tools .
  • Experience with audio editing at a personal and/or professional level.
  • Working experience with LMS is a great asset.
  • Experience delivering training courses in either classroom or online setting is a definite plus.

Skills & Aptitudes

  • Interest in the aviation industry
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and convey complex technical information in simple terms
  • Ability to interpret complex requests and implement them based on an aggressive timeline
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (e.g., Premiere, Illustrator, Photoshop as well as After Effects)
  • Familiarity with OBS Studio is an asset.

Environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods
  • May be able to travel to client locations (Required: valid driver’s license and passport)
