CARFAX is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join CARFAX’s Financial Planning & Analysis team. This position will support the team and company through annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, monthly financial reporting, and providing insights and analytics around business performance. Our ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver, entrepreneurial, performance driven and has the ability to tell a story with data.
As a Financial Analyst you will:
• Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast process
• Work closely with Accounting during month end close to understand variances between actuals and forecast
• Develop deep knowledge of PBCS, our planning and forecasting tool
• Prepare monthly financial reporting for management
• Build and improve upon current business analytics and tie key metrics to financial performance
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decisions and planning
• Build relationships and share information cross-functionally
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes, reporting and identify cost savings
To be considered for this role, you will need:
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial analytics role
• Familiarity with sophisticated financial models, as well as performance based metrics
• Previous experience working in PBCS or similar planning tool
• Advanced Excel skills required with experience performing in-depth business analytics
• Experience querying large databases using SQL and working with big data preferred
• Ability to track and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
• Excellent written/oral communication skills
• Strong critical thinker
• B.S. in business, finance, data analytics or related field
