We are currently hiring a Corporate Communications Specialist to support our London Administration team. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.  
 The Corporate Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting the growth of the Libro Credit Union brand, values, cultures, and social purpose, and staff relationships through communications that represent the credit union to all key stakeholders. The specialist leads corporate communications and thought leadership initiatives to raise awareness of Libro to Owners, potential Owners, Libro stakeholders and the media, as well as supporting internal communications initiatives using all available channels.

The Role:
  • Support media relations, monitor, and record media coverage, work with colleagues to seek ways to increase and improve coverage.
  • Analyze Libro’s media coverage for thought leadership reports.
  • Develop external communications opportunities such as thought leadership, Owner communications, and libro.ca content.
  • Lead corporate social media accounts across all channels, monitor, analyze and record outcomes for reporting to align with business goals.
  • Create and publish content on all social media platforms, including but not limited to, social media, podcast, video, to grow audiences, build brand awareness and increase community engagement to support lead generation.
  • Strategies for active engagement and collaboration with other departments, including after-hours monitoring, support and education colleagues, and during crisis communications.
  • Provide mentorship and support to the after-hours team, guiding dynamic responses related to social media and Google reviews.
  • Manage content calendar and after-hours team schedules, optimize company pages within each platform to increase visibility, and conduct market research to identify best practices, trends, and insights.
  • Holistic approach to planning and executing strategies, applied across all social media platforms, as well as google reviews, podcast and video.
  • Lead corporate communication planning in collaboration with other departments and branch staff for external stakeholders, including Owner outreach, media, impact partnership storytelling, social media, podcast, and video.
  • Improve the value of the Libro brand, values, culture, and social purpose online and through various communications channels.
  • Support application writing for corporate-wide awards recognition at a national, regional, or local level. Monitor results for thought leadership reports.
  • Assist with internal communications opportunities, helping to foster staff engagement and two-way communication to share best practice and reinforce the Libro culture.
  • Contribute to achievement of overall People and Governance objectives by participating in regular P&G meetings, coaching sessions with the Communications Manager, and project planning.
 What We’re Looking For:
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism/Media or other related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience planning and executing corporate communications plans for a variety of projects.
  • 1+ year(s) managing social media in a corporate setting.
  • Other digital media marketing campaign experience is an asset.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities within tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.) and Canva.
  • International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) membership.
