R&D Technologist
Position Objective
Are you passionate about R&D Engineering, CAD designing, and prototyping? The R&D Technologist is a great opportunity to work in the laboratory, perform testing, prototyping and CAD design work for the R&D Team! Essential job functions:

Execute laboratory assessment of separation membranes with respect to their filtration performance, mechanical properties and cleaning properties at new or used fibers including related membrane module autopsy. Collaborate with external laboratories to execute tests that are not available in own facilities.

Execute filtration performance test for new membrane modules on R&D piloting test systems with related data recording and pre-evaluation. Maintain the pilot units to allow mainly automatic test run.

Support, build and test prototypes of membrane modules, water treatment equipment, and arrangements as part of the product development process with other workshops.

Sets up mechanical destructing tests and NDE and capability to evaluate the test results

Sets up water treatment tests as per developed standard work using filtration media and chemicals for water treatment

Demonstrated capability to maintain, set up, and operate test equipment for fluid treatment testing
Minimum Qualifications:

BS Mechanical Engineering, Technologist or equivalent degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferred in R&D or product development in the following areas:

Executing laboratories activities in chemical or physical labs

Building prototypes w/ or w/out external partners

Mechanical 3D-CAD design
