Job Description
Position: R&D Scientist / R&D Engineer Status: Full-time, OPEN
Renix is accepting applications to join the company’s team, seeking a motivated individual to join us as a R&D Scientist/R&D Engineer. You will be working on-site at Renix’s customer locations, beginning with a significant project in Europe.
The R&D Scientist/R&D Engineer will focus their technical efforts on separation & purification technologies and industrial processes to support Renix’s customer projects. Responsibilities include for example:
- Set up, operate, and maintain lab equipment and pilot scale equipment at industrial sites.
- Perform lab and pilot scale testing for process development, validation and scale-up.
- Prepare test plans, sampling plans and procedures, analytical methods for process development projects.
- Prepare complete, accurate, up-to-date and secure physical and electronic project records, and ensure all test results and calculations are verified for accuracy.
- Incorporate applicable legal, safety and regulatory requirements throughout project delivery.
- Create formal technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates are agile self-starters who demonstrate initiative, desire to grow with the company, and are excited by the energy of an innovative process development environment. Qualifications include:
- Post-secondary education in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Chemical/Biochemical/Process/Mechanical)
- 0-2 years relevant experience (R&D environments at lab, pilot, and commercial scale-up desired)
- Hands-on technical aptitude and comfort working in a physically demanding environment, including working directly on equipment set-up, operation, and maintence of fluid handling equipment and basic industrial instrumentation and controls
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot liquid separation & purification processes desirable
- Willing and qualified to travel extensively for long periods to customer sites internationally (Europe & US). Up to 80% Travel can be expected.
