About the Role
PowerCo is in the process of introducing digital solutions for Building Automation (BAS), energy management, physical security and health, safety and environment (HSE) for its facilities in Europe and Canada. These systems form a core part of PowerCo’s Computer-based control systems to operate the battery production facilities in a safe and condition-controlled manner. The central digitalization team in Germany is responsible for identifying requirements, design, configuration, and deployment of these solutions across all PowerCo’s sites. In this role, you will be closely working with central team and representing St. Thomas site’s local needs and changes. You will play a key role in planning and leading all activities during deployment stage and optimizing them during operation. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with BAS/BEMS and facility monitoring systems, and a deep understanding of how these tools can be applied in support of enterprise strategies.
This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Central digitalization team in identifying requirements, design, development, deployment and optimize of BAS, energy management and facility monitoring solutions
• Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams (facility, maintenance, operations, IT, etc) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Bridge the global solution development with local business needs, ensuring seamless rollout and support of these solutions.

• Take a lead role in planning and coordination of tasks during deployment stage with stakeholders
• Contribute to solution testing, qualification and validation phases
• Steer and collaborate with 3rd party suppliers working on relevant tasks and interfaces
• Share key insights and learnings within PowerCo, e.g. from initial acceptance and testing
• Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations, procedures, best practices, and changes.
• To some extent implement changes and troubleshooting after deployment
• Delivering training and technical support for our customer base.
• Assist in data migration, system integration, and upgrade projects.
• Monitor BAS and other systems performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance, data privacy, and security standards during rollout and operations
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to safeguard digital assets from threats.
• Oversee compliance with industry standards and local regulatory requirements related to data integrity and manufacturing
What you bring to the Team
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or relevant fields
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience
• Competence in a BAS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Tridium/Niagara) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management principles
• Solid understanding of manufacturing environments; large-scale manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and delivery tools.
• Willingness to learn new systems and take ownership
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
• Ability to work in a team and in a results-oriented environment
• Project management skills are required
