Responsibilities

The Digital Media & Recruitment Communications Coordinator provides part-time administrative and creative coordination for student recruitment and outreach initiatives in the Faculty of Education. This role supports the creation of digital media assets and promotional materials, manages recruitment social media and email marketing activities, and helps manage communications with prospective students. The position is well suited to someone who is organized, comfortable with digital tools, and interested in communications, marketing, or higher education administration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and updating digital media assets for recruitment and promotion, including social media graphics and digital posters, flyers and basic web graphics 
  • Drafting and scheduling social media posts in line with Faculty branding and messaging 
  • Assisting with email marketing campaigns, including drafting content, formatting and list coordination 
  • Performing updates to recruitment materials and promotional content as needed 
  • Responding to general inquiries from prospective students or routing inquries appropriately 
  • Maintaining organized records of digital assets, templates and communications 
  • Supporting the coordination of recruitment initiatives, events and outreach activities 
  • Providing general administrative coordination to the recruitment/admissions and communications team 
  • Working closely with recruitment staff to align messaging with program priorities 
  • Applying brand guidelines and accessibility standards to digital content 
  • Supporting multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines 

Qualifications 

Education:
-   Undergraduate Degree in Administration, Business, Marketing or Communications, Digital Media or a related field 

Experience:
-   1 year of administrative, communications or marketing support experience 

-   Experience with content creation for social media or digital platforms is an asset 

-   Experience in a post-secondary or professional environment is an asset but not required 

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
-   Strong organizational and time management skills 
-   Clear written communication skills 
-   Comfort drafting short, professional messages and promotional content 
-   Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred
-   Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities 
-   Ability to foster collaboration and respect among team members
-   Communication skills with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization
-   Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
-   Ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work
-   Attention to detail and consistency
-   Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva is an asset 
-   Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries, by telephone, in person or electronically
-   Comfort working with email marketing tools and social media platforms with the ability to learn new systems and platforms quickly
