The Opportunity

We are recruiting a quality-conscious and detail-oriented Operations Engineering Technologist to grow with us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will join our Operations Engineering Team to support production initiatives across our numerous product lines. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing simple to moderately complex engineering drawings using 2D and 3D computer-aided design software
  • Creating Bills of Materials
  • Assisting with engineering calculations and FEA simulations
  • Providing technical support for  equipment
  • Preparing product manuals, work instructions, and other technical documents for internal and external use
  • Assisting in other projects, as assigned, to support our process improvement initiatives and product development efforts

The Ideal Candidate

  • Is proficient with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Has a strong understanding of the basic principles of engineering design and industry best practices; demonstrates an understanding of machining and metal fabrication
  • Is highly proficient in the Microsoft Suite of programs
  • A diploma or degree in an applicable manufacturing or engineering technology program is required
