Who We Are
EKSiT was founded in 2010 in London, Ontario. Over the last 9 years, we have helped small business owners plan for their exit from the business and achieve their personal goals. The problem was that the needs of the business owner weren’t being put first, and we realized that businesses that were more saleable were being penalized by having to pay more when it came time to exit. In 2017, we decided we’d had enough and that business owners deserved better than what companies like us had to offer.
In early 2018, we launched our proprietary software, the EKSiT Outlook. The response from the market has been exceptional – and we’re ready to keep building and innovating, with a new version of the software planned for 2020.
What We Need
We’re not just looking for someone who can handle the traditional role of product management; we want someone who is excited about (and capable of) taking a great product and working hard to make it exceptional. In addition, we want someone who can be part of the technology-focused leadership team, working directly alongside our Technical Advisor to shape the future of the company.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We also expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts, to help ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably, and securely.
There is no other software like this, so it’s constantly evolving - and we’re looking for someone who is really excited to be part of something new.
This position will include the following core responsibilities:
Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision, working directly with the back-end development team
Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps
Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
Create a timeline for development and deployment of technology
Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
Help departments use technology profitably
Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
Build quality assurance and data protection processes
Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

Previous experience in product management and/or a similar leadership role
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
Background in software development and familiarity with Agile framework is preferred
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Understanding of budgets and business-planning
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Excellent communication skills
Leadership and organizational abilities
Proficiency in written and spoken English
