About the Role:
We’re looking for a Process Engineer who’s eager to innovate, collaborate, and grow. As part of a cross-functional team onsite out of our London, Ontario office, you’ll gain the support, mentorship, and tools you need to thrive with growth opportunities across our global business.
You will have the opportunity to advocate for Trojan and support field service as well as application teams in UV Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) to make an impact in water and our technologies!
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Design for Success: Prepare process engineering designs that are optimized to meet water quality and treatment requirements, ensuring compliance with client deliverables.
- Lead Innovation: Take the lead on early technology and pilot demonstrations, supporting technology evaluations with commissioning and service teams. You’ll manage test protocols, data analysis, and reporting.
- Shape the Future: Analyze findings, develop tools, and create best practices to train and empower others.
- Engage the Industry: Stay ahead of the curve by analyzing market trends, identifying emerging technologies, and monitoring regulatory or design guideline changes in municipal water reuse.
- Build Thought Leadership: Write and present technical reports that sustain Trojan’s leadership in key markets and applications
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field, with experience in water or wastewater treatment equipment systems.
- Experience: Expertise in advanced water treatment technologies, including UV Advanced Oxidation, Ozone, Biological Activated Filtration (BAF), Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis, or Granular Activated Carbon (GAC).
- Strong communication and presentation skills—both written and verbal—to articulate ideas and solutions to clients, consulting engineers, and regulators.
- The ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across North America.
Preferred:
- Representing your organization during technical and commercial meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Developing preliminary and conceptual process designs, including basis of design, technical specifications, and process flow diagrams.
- Supporting aftermarket sales and service teams with system optimization and resolving performance concerns or conducting process audits.
- Collaborating with R&D teams to refine and develop new products and solutions.
