Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Account Executive to join the directMSP Business Unit, under Thinq Technologies. The ideal candidate will require a background in selling IT Services and possess a consultative selling style rooted within an outcome based / needs-based analysis and alignment.
Working with our customer install base of over 6500 clients coast to coast, and over $80 million in revenues, you will be required to develop market expansion strategies and tactics to increase IT sales and services revenues for directMSP. Working collaboratively with our team of AMP’s (Account Manager – Procurement), you will assist in territory planning, account planning, opportunity identification, and pipeline creation for the IT services business unit.
A team player with strong collaboration skills, and an inclination for sales strategy, tactics, growth, and development will be very successful in this position. This is an organic growth opportunity, where your track record and ability to grow an existing territory will set you apart from other candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Territory Sales Strategy / Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets. The approach must be feasible in the short term, and viable in the long term.
- Vendor Strategy / Management: With over 200 go to market’s OEM’s, services vendors, and affiliates, the candidate will need to have a strong grasp and understanding of how they can partner for success.
- Client Acquisition Specialist: Work within the customer buying process to identify and engage prospective clients, understand their IT needs, and present tailored solutions. Experience with BANT, MEDDIC, SPIN, CHALLENGER or other methodologies is a strong asset. Strong track record of pipeline conversion, and pipeline management preferred.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and existing Account Manager’s to ensure customer satisfaction and identify upsell and Cosell opportunities.
- Presentations and public speaking: Effectively communicate the value of directMSP's managed services, professional services, and procurement services via digital or in person events and client meetings.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies.
- Proposal / Content Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including executive summaries, need analysis, cost-benefit analysis, quote options, project analysis, and timelines. Create bespoke documents by customer requirements and profile.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the entire pipeline sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure. Maintain hygiene and accuracy within key systems. (Hubspot, Sales Stack, etc.)
- Team Player / Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including technical and support staff, to develop and execute on revenue growth and development strategies and tactics. Assist in the creation of selling aids, that support the pipeline creation process.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions in CRM tools. Be expected to have weekly, monthly, and quarterly review and planning sessions to enable growth, and eliminate risk from your territory.
- Training and Development: Continuously update your knowledge of directMSP's ecosystem of products and services, as well as industry best practices. Participate in training and growth programs, and work to educate and train ongoing AMP’s on how to uncover opportunities within their portfolios.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling IT services, with a strong focus on managed and professional services.
- Track Record: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, IT Security, IT Networking, Managed Services, Professional Services, and leading-edge technology solutions and platforms. Sales related certifications for MS365, MS Azure, Barracuda, Cisco, Proofpoint, Veeam, Cisco, Fortinet, PaloAlto, Lenovo, Dell, are distinct advantage.
- Sales Skills: Must possess excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills. Possess a strong consultative skillset or framework for needs analysis. Have a high level of organization.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
- Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems, with a proactive, consultative, and solution-oriented approach.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, information technology, computer sciences, or a related field preferred.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools. (Hubspot, Salesforce, Zoho, MS Dynamics, etc.)
- Travel: Must be?willing to travel as needed to meet clients, partners, and attend industry events.
