Bilingual Senior Analyst Corporate Investigations

 

We are looking for a Bilingual Senior Analyst Corporate Investigations – London, Ontario. 

 

What’s the opportunity? 

The Corporate Investigations Senior Analyst will report to and support the Associate Manager, Corporate Investigations in the day-to-day responsibilities of data management and reporting, corporate investigations, assessments and audits, and other ad hoc tasks relating to Corporate Investigations.   To be successful in this role, you must possess superior analytical, written and verbal communication, problem solving and organization skills to ensure the accurate documentation and analysis of investigations.

 

What you will do: 

  1. Detection & Monitoring
  • Through investigative analysis, identify areas of high risk that are particularly susceptible to fraud and review for indications of irregularities.
  • Assess and triage initial complaints to determine if an investigation is warranted and respond to complainants and Lines of Business in a timely fashion.
  • Responsible for making analytical assessments of both internal and external fraudulent activity across various Lines of Business and other analytical requests as required.

 

  1. Collection Analysis & Planning
  • Data Analytics to support fraud detection by conducting proactive/reactive auditing and analyzing of financial records, data and information from internal and external sources. 
  • Conduct Open-Source searches to support and guide ongoing investigations.
  • Support and assist Corporate Investigations with the collection and preservation of evidence.

 

  1. Data Management and Internal Reporting
  • Prepare analytical and/or investigative reports geared towards management, other Lines of Business, regulatory agencies, and law enforcement agencies to support prosecutorial action.
  • Review system scans/reports and reformat to meet the needs of the area. Ensure scheduled reporting tasks are completed on time. Consult with leadership and relevant business areas to troubleshoot if there are any problems with the data. 
  • Update and manage data lists to ensure the ongoing maintenance and execution of various robotic process automation (RPA) tools, daily alerts, and other data-based initiatives. 
  • Support the adaptation and development of new reporting models to meet changing business needs. 

 

  1. Other
  • Maintain procedure and job aid documentation related to role.  
  • Support and assist Senior Investigators and Management as required.
  • Identify control deficiencies and make recommendations to close gaps and prevent future fraudulent / dishonest activity incidents.
  • Develop relationships throughout the organization that will foster the reporting of fraudulent or dishonest activity. 

What you will bring: 

  • Bilingual in English and French is required.
  • Completion of post-secondary level education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office products, Power BI, i2, and analytical case management programs.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively self-manage, prioritize, stay organized and use technology as a productivity tool while supporting multiple simultaneous investigations. 
  • Experience using Open-Source and specified external resource databases to gather intelligence in support of Corporate Investigations. Critical thinking to assess this information is crucial.   
  • Ability to apply judgment to make subjective decisions based on data collected.   
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous responsibility and success in effective decision making based on data presented. 
  • Experience liaising with business area contacts and advisors to obtain additional information and the ability to negotiate with internal/external stakeholders.   
  • A desire to constantly learn, adapt to change and remain open to ad hoc tasks. 
  • Cyber-Security skills would be considered an asset.
  • Experience within the Financial Services sector would be an asset.

Successful candidates will be required to participate in the Federal Government Enhanced Screening Process to gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada  website.

 

This is a hybrid position – the successful applicant will be required to work 3 days a week in office with flexible working hours within our core business hours of 8am-4pm EST.

The base salary for this position is between  $54,500 - $81,800 annually.  This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).  If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
