Job Function:
The Systems Support Specialist will provide first level technical support to all locations. Duties will include but are not limited to: Network uptime, managing vendor relationships and network hardware. They will support credit union security, including procurement and management of necessary hardware. They will ensure employees have the hardware and communication tools to be able to work with ease.

Duties will include but are not limited to: Network uptime, managing vendor relationships and network hardware. They will support credit union security, including procurement and management of necessary hardware. They will ensure employees have the hardware and communication tools to be able to work with ease.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first level support (remote and in-person) to all credit union staff and locations.
- Manage telephony (enterprise and mobile) and provide ongoing support.
- Manage the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of employee work tools (e.g. laptops/desktops, peripherals, multi-function devices) and ensure ease of use.
- Manage the procurement, installation, and maintenance of physical security components and support our security policies and procedures.
- Sustain network uptime and manage vendor relationships for network connectivity.
- Implement and distribute changes to hardware and software configurations.
- Log support calls, document the outcome and provide feedback to users on progress.
- Maintain and monitor system components and make recommendations regarding computer system security, network stability, and utilization.
- Assist in identifying and providing training needs based on staff interaction and recurring patterns of problems.
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
Qualifications:
- Community college or university graduate in relevant areas, or a combination of current work-related experience augmented with certified computer-industry training.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- General knowledge of financial industry
- Extensive experience with current operating systems and hardware
- Solid conceptual understanding of networking basics
- Extensive experience with installation and configuration of a wide range of applications
- Understanding and commitment to co-operative philosophies and values
- A self-starter with the ability to organize time, handle heavy volumes and meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven skills in troubleshooting and resolving problems for inexperienced end-users
