Waterspider/Material Handler

The primary role of this position is to maintain material presentation and ensure continuous flow of production. Will work with the Assembly Lead Hand, Production Leaders, and Manager to ensure material is available for production. 

• Follows all applicable safety procedures and works to maintain a clean and organized work area      

• Prepares materials and delivers materials to designated locations through the use of manual or powered equipment. 

• Visually inspects material for potential damage  

• Organizes and manages project pick and pack activity (shiplist) 

• Responsible for crate and supply ordering 

• Responsible for MFG KB put away 

• Loads and unloads shipments out of the plant 

• Manages the flow of material within the cell  

• Triggers request for delivery of all carts, flanges, tooling and crates are available to meet daily plan    

• Orders and stages crates and skids for all cells 

• Packs product in cell  

• Replenishes all floorstock and VMI bins and materials within cells throughout the day 

• Anticipates and supports 2-person operations throughout the build process  

• Backfills for assembly to support absences and spikes in volume   

• Responsible for cell material presentation 

• Other duties as required
