What We're Looking For
As an Adobe Analytics Developer at Northern, you will be responsible for the technical implementation, customization, and management of Adobe Analytics solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop robust tracking strategies, ensure accurate data collection, and enable actionable insights for our clients.
*Full-time remote is available nationally. Our Connected Workplace Program gives you the option to choose a remote, hybrid, or in-office workspace (within Canada)!

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Adobe Analytics tracking solutions across web, mobile, and other digital platforms.
- Configure Adobe Analytics variables (eVars, props, events) to meet business requirements.
- Set up and maintain robust data layers to capture accurate and consistent data.
- Manage and deploy analytics tags using Adobe Launch or other tag management systems.
- Build and maintain custom JavaScript extensions, rules, and triggers for tracking needs.
- Integrate Adobe Analytics with other tools in the Adobe Experience Cloud (e.g., Target, Audience Manager) and third-party platforms.
- Implement server-side tracking and API integrations for advanced data collection needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data collection issues using debugging tools such as Charles, Fiddler, or browser developer tools.
- Perform rigorous QA to validate tag firing and data integrity across platforms.
- Create detailed implementation guides, technical documentation, and tracking plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and analytics, to define and deliver tracking solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Regularly audit and optimize analytics implementations for performance and scalability.
- Stay updated on Adobe Analytics updates and best practices to continuously improve implementations.
Knowledge, Education & Experience Required
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics implementation and customization.
- Deep understanding of Adobe Analytics Workspace, reporting, and calculated metrics.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for custom tracking development.
- Experience with Adobe Launch or other tag management systems for deploying and managing tags.
- Familiarity with data layer structures, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong grasp of analytics concepts, including KPI definition, attribution modeling, and customer journey analysis.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver measurable solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise in debugging tracking issues, optimizing tagging setups, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
Bonus
- Experience with other Adobe Experience Cloud products (e.g., Adobe Target, Audience Manager, Campaign).
- Adobe certifications (e.g., Adobe Analytics Developer, Adobe Analytics Business Practitioner).
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on data collection and analytics strategies.
- Familiarity with additional analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
