The Roadmap

The Business Operations (BizOps) Manager / Internal Project Manager role is responsible for driving internal process excellence and scaling operational efficiency across all departments. This role will lead process improvement initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure internal tools and workflows align with business growth objectives. You will serve as the bridge between teams, translating feedback and business needs into actionable roadmaps for internal tooling, automation, and process enhancements.

You are a highly organized, analytical, and collaborative individual with a passion for driving operational efficiency and impact. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining focus on strategic outcomes.

 

Duties

  • Own internal process improvement initiatives across multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency and support scale.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve team productivity and effectiveness.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business growth, operational scale, and revenue targets.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups and facilitate regular stand-ups to ensure alignment on priorities related to internal processes and tooling.
  • Develop and maintain internal documentation, process maps, and communication flows to support transparency and consistency.
  • Act as the product owner for internal tooling and automation systems, overseeing roadmaps, user feedback, and enhancement cycles.
  • Gather and translate business needs into actionable plans for internal system improvements.
  • Prioritize and manage the backlog of tooling enhancements, automations, and process changes.
  • Coordinate the launch of new internal tools, features, or systems, including managing change, communication, documentation, and training for internal teams.
  • Champion the internal user experience, advocating for solutions that streamline operations, reduce manual work, and increase team satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties, projects, or initiatives as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Business Administration or relation field. 
  • 4–7 years of experience in business operations, internal product management, process improvement, or related roles.Experience in Agile and Lean product management methodologies with a focus on iterative delivery of AI features.
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Engineering, and Executive Leadership.
  • Hands-on experience managing internal systems such as CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot), Jira/Confluence, and billing systems like Zuora.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational optimization.
  • Experience in SaaS environments and familiarity with SaaS business models and operations.
  • Proficiency with AI tools, low-code/no-code platforms, and automation solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Performance Package 

Salary: $65,000-$85,000/year

The salary range listed is for a Canadian employee. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
