Hiring Organization Overview
The Party 1 team is responsible for enterprise customer data used by TD's key banking systems for delivering customer-centric data and services to our technology clients and business partners. The Party 1 team is currently seeking a full-time Business System Analyst to work with Party 1's Enterprise Permission Centre (EPC) application. EPC is the primary application used by Canadian and US TD employees and customers to easily update and access customer and contact permissions information, and helps enable TD to contact customers for marketing, research, and customer service opportunities in alignment with regulatory regulations. EPC is comprised of a web/customer-facing public site as well as an employee-facing internal site. Its technology stack includes an Oracle database, a GUI front-end, DB2, a batch suite of jobs, and two APIs.
The delivery team is actively involved in many new Features to enhance and deliver new functionality in support of various business / infrastructure sponsored initiatives. If you are looking for a challenging technology career, Party 1 and its EPC application is the team for you!
Primary Purpose of the Role
Produce system requirements in alignment with standards and frameworks. Work in close partnership with various partners and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Customer
- Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system processes and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and how to manage the integration
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications taking into account non-functional requirements
- Capture and document the traceability of system requirements through design and development, testing, and deployment; ensure the acceptance criteria demonstrates the changes to systems that will meet stakeholder expectations.
- Support testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing
- Provides support/oversight and guidance in the delivery of technology requirements with focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.
- Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement
- May provide operational / process-related analysis and support to various extents
Shareholder
- Adhere to existing processes/standards including requirements management technology delivery practices and standards, and business technology architecture, escalating issues as required
- Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technology trends/developments and develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques that can contribute to effective solution development/delivery
- Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services
- May support change management planning and activities, including those that ensure operational readiness.
- Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.
- May support the development of business cases including benefits identification, RFI/RFP and service level agreements with vendors/suppliers consistent with technology requirements/guidelines

Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- 3-5 years relevant experience in User Story writing, API, Oracle, Testing, Gap Analysis, Problem solving, Requirement Solicitation, Stakeholder management
- Preference given to candidates who have experience working in Agile
