Position Overview Directs the activities of diverse Engineering groups and teams. Oversees the development, modification and enhancement of products and related software, technologies and applications. Drives efforts to add functionality, improve performance / reliability and enhance product usability. Directs the product development lifecycle, including research, new development, modification, security, re-engineering and maintenance and upkeep. Provides both functional and technical leadership to the teams. Contributes to the research, validation and recommendation of key technology decisions for core platform(s) and client facing offerings. Identifies, develops and implements organizational, operational and process enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures team remains current on latest tools, technologies, standards and industry trends. Key Responsibilities
Provides clear direction to assigned staff of Product Development personnel.
Manages team and individual goals, conducting performance reviews and mentoring and growing team and individual capability.
Provides guidance to the team to ensure that development standards are followed and adhered to.
Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work, monitoring performance and reporting on status.
Manages project timelines and coordinates with other teams to achieve milestones.
Ensures team members have the processes and technical skills to deliver consistent performance, high quality results and value to client.
Builds strong relationships with clients (internal and external) to improve services and ensure service levels are achieved.
Applies strong knowledge of technologies, processes, and methodologies to develop, maintain and support business applications and team efficiencies.
Leads development, support and maintenance of complex projects requiring a wide application of theories, concepts, and principles.
Sets short- and medium-term goals with team members and provides frequent, concrete feedback.
Identifies and resolves business and technical issues, escalating when appropriate.
Contributes to planning and estimating budget, participant and resource requirements for short-, medium, and long-term projects.
Collaborates closely with peers in globally distributed locations to ensure a streamlined development cycle, maintaining open communications and teamwork
Experience managing a team of 7-10 Developers and Architects. Technical experience in C++ a plus. #LI-CP1 #Remote
